Janet Sansom started as a painter. She hand-drew every single design — inspired by antique patterns, crown molding, nature, and the kind of detail most people walk past without noticing. When she decided to bring her artwork into embroidery, she walked into a sewing store, bought their largest machine, and insisted on the digitizing software the staff told her she didn’t need.
What followed was years of refinement — perfecting the underlay, eliminating puckering, learning exactly how to translate the precision of her painted brushstrokes into stitches. The result is a body of work with exceptional craftsmanship and a level of detail rarely seen in embroidery today.

Janet Sansom Collection Live Event Giveaway
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.
1. Contest Period
The contest begins on April 17th at 2 pm EST and ends on May 9, 2026 at the conclusion of the live event broadcast (“Contest Period”). All entries must be received during the Contest Period. The Sponsor’s computer or server shall be the official clock for all deadlines.
2. Eligibility
This contest is for machine embroiderers only. You must own and operate an embroidery machine to enter to win. Embroidery Legacy reserves the right to verify eligibility prior to prize fulfilment.
This giveaway is open to individuals who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry and is intended for embroidery enthusiasts. Employees, officers, and directors of Embroidery Legacy, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotional agencies, and their immediate family members (spouse, parents, siblings, children) and household members are not eligible. This giveaway is void where prohibited or restricted by law.
3. How to Enter
Visit https://embroiderylegacy.com/giveaway during the Contest Period and complete the registration form with the required information, including your full name and valid email address. Registration is free. You must also attend the live event on May 9, 2026 to be eligible for the prize drawing. Attendance is required to claim a prize but not to enter the giveaway. Limit one (1) entry per person. Multiple entries from the same individual will result in disqualification of all entries from that individual.
4. Prizes and Approximate Retail Values (ARV)
Three (3) Poolin embroidery machines, model EOC06, ARV: $1999 USD each.
One (1) finished quilt crafted using Janet Sansom’s embroidery designs. ARV: $2000 USD.
Total ARV of all prizes: $7997.
Prizes are awarded “as is” with no warranty or guarantee of any kind by Sponsor. Prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and have no cash value. No substitutions will be permitted except at Sponsor’s sole discretion if a prize becomes unavailable, in which case a prize of equal or greater value may be awarded.
5. Odds of Winning
Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received during the Contest Period.
6. Winner Selection and Notification
Winners will be selected by random drawing during the live event on May 9, 2026. Winners must be present during the live broadcast and must contact Embroidery Legacy within two (2) minutes of their name being announced to claim their prize. The two-minute window begins at the moment the winner’s name is spoken on the live broadcast, as determined solely by the Sponsor’s broadcast timestamp. Embroidery Legacy’s determination of timing is final.
If a winner does not respond within the allotted window, a new winner will be drawn. This process will repeat until all prizes are claimed.
Winners may be required to complete and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, a Liability Release, and (where legally permitted) a Publicity Release within fourteen (14) days of notification. Failure to return required documents within the specified timeframe may result in forfeiture of the prize and selection of an alternate winner.
7. Shipping
Prize shipping is available within the continental United States at no cost to the winner. Winners located outside of the continental United States are responsible for all shipping, freight, customs, and handling costs associated with prize delivery. Sponsor is not responsible for prizes lost, damaged, or delayed in transit.
8. Taxes and Duties
Winners are solely responsible for any and all applicable taxes, import duties, customs fees, and any other costs associated with prize acceptance and use.
9. Publicity and Promotion
Except where prohibited by law, acceptance of a prize constitutes the winner’s consent for Sponsor to use the winner’s name, likeness, photograph, voice, statements, city and state/province of residence, and prize information for promotional and advertising purposes in any media without additional compensation. Residents of jurisdictions that require separate written consent for such use will not be included in any publicity without their prior written consent.
10. Privacy
Information collected from entrants is subject to Sponsor’s Privacy Policy, available at https://embroiderylegacy.com/privacy-policy/. Personal information collected in connection with this giveaway will be used for the purpose of administering the giveaway, contacting and notifying winners, and fulfilling prizes. Entrant information may also be used by Sponsor for marketing purposes, including email communications about Embroidery Legacy’s products and services. Entrants may opt out of marketing communications at any time. Personal information will not be sold to third parties.
11. Technical Issues
Sponsor is not responsible for any technical difficulties or failures of any kind, including but not limited to: internet outages, audio or video delays or buffering, device malfunctions, streaming platform errors, browser incompatibility, or any other technical issues that may prevent an entrant from attending the live event, hearing their name announced, including due to user absence, distraction, device settings, or volume limitations, or responding within the allotted time. Sponsor is not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate entry information, whether caused by entrants, equipment, or programming associated with the giveaway.
12. Limitation of Liability
By participating, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Sponsor, its parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, partners, advertising and promotional agencies, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, agents, and representatives (collectively, “Released Parties”) from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, losses, injury, damage, or expense of any kind arising from or in connection with participation in this giveaway, the acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any prize, or any travel related to prize fulfillment.
13. Contest Integrity
Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process, the operation of the giveaway, or any Sponsor website; who violates these Official Rules; or who acts in a disruptive, unsportsmanlike, or harassing manner. Any attempt to deliberately damage or undermine the legitimate operation of this giveaway is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages and other remedies from any such individual to the fullest extent of the law. Sponsor reserves the right to verify the identity of any entrant or winner, including requiring valid government-issued identification prior to awarding any prize.
14. Modification, Suspension, and Cancellation
Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify, suspend, or cancel this giveaway at any time and for any reason, including but not limited to circumstances beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control such as fire, flood, epidemic, pandemic, earthquake, act of God, labor dispute, war, act of terrorism, governmental regulation or order, equipment failure, or any other event that compromises the integrity, security, or proper administration of the giveaway. In the event of cancellation, Sponsor may, at its discretion, select winners from among all eligible, non-suspect entries received prior to the action taken.
15. Event Cancellation or Delay
In the event of technical issues, force majeure, or other unforeseen circumstances that interrupt or delay the live event, Sponsor reserves the right to reschedule the prize drawing or modify the timing of winner announcements without prior notice. In such cases, updated information will be communicated to registered entrants via email.
16. Final Decisions
All decisions made by the Sponsor regarding winner selection, eligibility, timing, prize fulfillment, or interpretation of these Official Rules are final and binding.
17. Disputes and Governing Law
These Official Rules and this giveaway are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, any dispute, claim, or cause of action arising out of or relating to this giveaway shall be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered in Ontario, Canada. Entrants waive the right to bring claims in a class action or representative capacity. Nothing in this section shall prevent the application of mandatory consumer protection laws of the entrant’s jurisdiction of residence where such laws cannot be waived by contract.
18. Severability
If any provision of these Official Rules is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court or arbitrator of competent jurisdiction, the invalidity of that provision shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions, which shall continue in full force and effect.
